This is superior news for the city of Austin, exactly where Samsung currently has a NAND flash memory factory. According to the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Samsung’s factory may be the largest foreign investment in Texas, worth about $9 billion.

Apple’s A5 chip, which powers the iPhone 4S as well as the iPad two, is now getting made in a Texas factory owned by Samsung, Reuters reports, citing sources familiar using the operation.

Both Samsung and Apple declined to comment on the deal.

The machines are being stored at Apple’s assembly plants (like Foxconn) until “yield rates” are satisfactory.

Connect iPod to PC.
With iTunes closed, connect the iPod to your PC using the USB cable.

* If iTunes tries to open automatically, quickly “x” out of the window. This is to avoid auto-syncing the iPod with a blank or lacking library.

In “My Computer”, locate the iPod under “Devices with Removable Storage” and double-click. Under the “Tools” menu at the top of the screen, select “Folder Options” and click the “View” tab. Scroll down and ensure that “Show Hidden Files and Folders” is selected.

The iPod will show two or three folders, one of them called “Music”. Copy the Music folder to your desktop.

Disconnect the iPod from the computer and open iTunes. Under the file menu, select “Add folder to Library”. Browse and select the copied Music folder on your desktop

Now you can use this way to transfer your ipod download as quickly as possible.

Apple’s new tablet PC will be available on Friday and said ZAGG invisibleSHIELD will begin selling its bodyshaping IPAD 2 before that date, according to a company statement. The company also will start selling 2-specific IPAD ZAGGskins, invisibleSHIELD with printed images and designs.

ZAGG also have a new version of its $ 99 ZAGGmate IPAD 2, a Bluetooth keyboard that doubles as a case of the Tablet PC.

ZAGG had to redesign some products of the second generation that the new tablet IPAD is slightly thinner and will have cameras front and rear-facing.

With the new firmware, users can control playback of music and radio through the iPod / Standby button, eliminating the need to look to the touch screen to navigate music. It also allows users to completely disable the iPod, instead of what is sleep.

The firmware update is free and available on iTunes. The system software automatically updates the next time you sync your iPod. Otherwise, you can manually update your iPod by clicking “Check for Update” on the iPod screen in iTunes.
